Ingredients
4 – 6 oz halibut steaks
1/2 medium onion, chopped
4 lemon slices
4 tsp butter
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/8 tsp black pepper
2 crushed garlic cloves
hot pepper sauce
dried oregano
dried basil
In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, pepper sauce, oregano, basil, and black pepper. Place the fish fillets on double layer of heavy-duty tin foil ( about 18” x 12”). Top with soy sauce mixture, onion, butter, and lemon. Fold tin foil around halibut and seal.
Grill over medium heat for 12-14 minutes. Fish should flake easily with a fork. This halibut steak recipe is easy to make, and everyone will love it!
